Norma's Crunchy French Toast

We’ve celebrated a lot of special moments over brunch at Norma’s in the past 20 years. It’s an always busy restaurant located on the main floor of Le Parker Meridien hotel in NYC. Their breakfast dishes are all over-the-top, huge portion creations. I’ve tried a few other items off their menu, but always go back to this dish. I love the crunchy texture of the Rice Krispies on the outside and the drizzle of caramel is delicious. Luckily they published a cookbook, so no need to guess how to recreate the dishes at home!

Tips:

  • No need for maple syrup with this French toast

  • Challah or any egg rich bread is great for this dish. You need a thick slice for the coating to adhere to.
