Tools

Spiralizer- love this tool. It takes my vegetables, like zucchini and creates lovely noodles to use in all my favorite meals. I use the Paderno.

Mandolin- allows me to make flat lasagna-like noodles and julienne vegetables for sides and salads. Here’s what I use.

Blender- it’s worth investing in a good blender. There are a lot of desserts I use the tool for, in addition to smoothies. I love the Vitamix. It’s incredibly powerful.

Juicer- I love to make fresh juices for my family. Although I dislike cleaning it, it is a staple in my kitchen.

Food Processor- This helps chop, grate and slice fruits, vegetables and nuts for a variety of dishes. I love my Kitchenaid.

Knives- It took a long time to find the proper knife for my size, but I love a 6” chef knife. I hand wash it and use it for almost everything. I use a paring knife for smaller items. Before using my knives I use a steal to make the blade straight and sharp.

Slow Cooker- this is not a tool I grew up with, but a friend introduced me to one a few years ago and I have a handful of dishes that I rely on it for. I have an All-Clad slow cooker.

Pots and Pans- I love All-Clad. They cook evenly, can go from the stove to the oven and clean beautifully. Have a variety of sizes-they stack in each other.
